Who can join:

All the interested who own their own firearms. If you do not have a firearms, we do have rental options available. If you are under 18 years of age, you must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Youth will be evaluated on their maturity and physical strength to ensure safe operation of a firearm.

All DEFENSIVE courses that begin after

All DEFENSIVE courses include high caliber training that will require extensive setup and takedowns.

Lighting has been improved to provide you with a realistic shooting experience from the defensive aspect. Targetry will include clay, steel and paper. You will be pushed to shoot outside of your comfort zone. Some have already chosen to retake Mod 1 and 2 prior to moving to Mod 3.

Also, all DEFENSIVE courses that begin after

January 30, 2017 will

include a binder with tabs. Each subsequent training module will include a new course outline providing you with a complete comprehensive classroom and range training outline verifying your training from a professional instructor.  This deems itself to be a very valuable tool if your training and qualifications are ever called into question. This documented training binder can be used to prove your skill-sets.

You will be given first priority, as we are on a first come, first serve basis, as we are experiencing a high volume of inquiries.

Ammo Count: 

We suggest bringing 100-250  rounds (depending on the course) of your caliber on every night you attend. However, if in case you do not have access to the rounds, and have any amount less than 100, it would still be beneficial for you to attend. You can learn a lot by just firing 20 rounds. We also have ammunition in the front office if you don't have any when you make your way to the range. Calling a few days before to check our inventory for you caliber is also a good idea.

Refunds/Cancellations/Re-schedules:

We do not offer refunds, however, in certain circumstances we will be happy to forward your payment to a future event. If you do not call to reschedule 2 days prior to event date, you will forfeit all funds.

Suggested Attire:

Shirt with a thick jacket, rain jacket, medium-high neckline and sleeves, or an overshirt. Comfortable closed toes shoes.  Breech Flags, eye protection, & ear protection are required & available for purchase at the SJRPR Office.

Other Items to Bring:

Magazines, holsters, chamber flags, ear protection and clear safety glasses (when the sun goes down),water, bug spray, hat, warm jacket or sweatshirt (as it is expected to cool down in the evenings).
